What is life coaching?

Life coaching is a collaborative partnership between a trained professional, known as a life coach, and an individual seeking guidance and support in various areas of their life. It focuses on personal growth, goal setting, overcoming obstacles, and creating positive changes.

How can a life coach help me?

As a Certified Life Coach, I can help you clarify your goals, identify limiting beliefs, develop strategies for success, and provide accountability and support throughout your journey. As a trained coach and based on the knowledge gained throughout my professional career in the financial industry managing teams of up to 20 high-performing individuals, I have developed the techniques and tools to empower and motivate you to make positive changes and achieve desired outcomes.

How long does a typical life coaching program last? 

The duration of a life coaching program varies depending on individual needs and goals. Some of my programs may span a few weeks, while others can take longer. How often do I need to have sessions with a life coach? 

The frequency of life coaching sessions is typically determined collaboratively between the client and the coach. It can range from weekly sessions to bi-weekly or monthly sessions, depending on the client’s preferences and the level of support required.  

How do I choose the right life coach for me? 

When selecting a life coach, it's essential to consider their qualifications, experience, coaching approach, and areas of specialization. When should I not consider a life coach?

If you are struggling to cope with a mental illness or are looking for a diagnosis or treatment plan for mental illness, or provide advise on medication, your best first step would be to speak to your doctor, therapist, Psychologist, or Psychiatrist or other mental health professional.

What can I expect during a life coaching session?

During a life coaching session, you can expect open and non-judgmental conversations focused on your goals, progress, challenges, and strategies for growth. As a Certified Life Coach I will ask powerful questions, provide insights and perspectives, as well as share with you the tools and techniques that will help you develop actionable and sustainable steps to move forward.

 Is life coaching confidential? 

Life coaches adhere to professional standards and ethics, maintaining client confidentiality unless there is a legal or ethical obligation to disclose information.

What areas of life can a life coach help me improve? 

As your life coach, I can assist you in various areas, including career development, relationships, personal growth, health and wellness, time management, goal setting, work-life balance, and improving self-esteem and confidence.  

Can life coaching help with career advancement or goal setting? 

Absolutely. As a Certified Life Coach, I can provide guidance and support in setting career goals, exploring career options, improving job performance, navigating career transitions, enhancing leadership skills, and discussing strategies for career advancement.

How does life coaching differ from therapy or counselling? 

While therapy and counselling focus on healing past trauma and addressing mental health concerns, life coaching primarily concentrates on the present and future. Life coaching is goal-oriented, action-driven, and focused on personal development and achieving desired outcomes.

Can life coaching be done remotely or online? 

Yes, in fact, two of the most popular methods for accessing my life coaching services is through  remote means, and not in person.  Using online Zoom calls are easy to set up and I’d be happy to help you with that if needed.  The other popular option is through a phone calls using WhatsApp or some other application that works for us both.

Remote coaching allows for greater accessibility and convenience, enabling clients and coaches to connect regardless of geographical location.  In fact, a majority of my clients are from the United States and across Canada.

I also offer in-person sessions in my local area of Vaughan, Ontario, Canada.

Are life coaching sessions covered by insurance?

Life coaching sessions are generally not covered by insurance. However, it's advisable to consult with your employer and insurance provider to confirm their specific coverage policies as some are starting to see the benefits of this service and include some coverage under Health and General Wellness options.

Can hourly sessions be split into two half-hour sessions?

Half of the sessions included in a package can be divided into half-hour intervals if required.  Just ask me.  For instance, if there are 8 one-hour sessions in a package, it would be possible to split 4 of the sessions into 8 half-hour sessions.  

Incorporating half-hour sessions into a life coaching program can enhance flexibility, promote incremental progress, cater to budgetary considerations, improve time management and in some cases will foster a more effective and adaptable learning experience for the client.

Can I extend my program to more sessions?

Absolutely! The length of any program can be extended by purchasing additional hourly sessions, or purchasing a new package.  Contact me to discuss what options are available to you.

Can I reach out to you in between sessions?

Yes, if you need a brief touch base once in between sessions to clarify something we discussed in a previous session I can be reached through text.
